One down 100 more to go

"And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Genesis 2:22-24

As Mike and I celebrate our 1 year anniversary, my heart is rejoicing in gladness, I never imagined marriage to be this sweet and incredibly wonderful. In my singleness I always dreamed of being married and pictured it to be some what like a fairytale. After celebrating one year of marriage, I have realized marriage is greater than a fairytale, greater than a wedding it's a gift from God. I wish I could express how truly wonderful marriage is and how beautiful it is to please the Lord together as husband and wife. All I can say is being able to experience such a divine gift makes me so excited about Heaven. Ladies, marriage is worth the wait, it truly is!

In thinking of this week I also I can't help but remember all of the wedding planning that took place and the emotions that came with it. I wish I could say the last two months before the wedding were such a wonderful stress-free time for me but it was actually quite the opposite. I was consumed with so much stress and anxiety that as my dad was walking me down the aisle I felt a huge burden lifted off my shoulders. I felt relief! All the planning was finally done. PHEW. HAHA. Not quiet, God had something up his sleeve and on September 14th my sister's now fiancé proposed! I couldn't help and think to myself, "oh here we go again!" As the maid of honor I was dreading this process again until I found Mostly Becky

With less than 60 days from her special day, you would never think my sister is planning a wedding–she is glowing and can't wait for her big day to arrive. We have been so blessed by Mostly Becky as she isn't just any wedding planner, she is a christian. What I love most about Becky isn't just how beautiful all of her weddings turn out but rather how she strives to serve Christ in all that she does and is constantly reminding her brides of God's promises and truth throughout this special time in their lives. I am so thankful my sister has found her husband to be and that she too will be able to experience the riches of marriage!

"But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh, so then they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."  Mark 10-:6-9
