#GOALCHECK

It’s the first week of February and for some reason right around this time we tend to give up on our goals or brush them off. All the New Year Resolution Hype has ended and it’s back to the same old same old….but it doesn’t have to be this way. Let’s get the pep in our step back.

I personally feel pressured at the end of the year to formulate my list of goals which sometimes ends up being too long and rushed. (Becoming more like a wishlist.)

So here is my take—I like to take this week and evaluate and adjust—and really focus on what goals you want to implement without all the added New Year pressure.

I have also tried to keep my goals simple and love having a focus word. This year my word is Trust. I want to trust in the Lord–with complete blind faith. For years I have trusted God in my own way in my own terms and the outcome remained the same. Whether I worried, complained, questioned or completely trust God nothing altered His plans. So this year, I just want to trust, I don’t want to worry, question, over step, complain, nag, but rather be on my knees in constant prayer and supplication for everything.

“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
