ROMANS 8:28

“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes ALL things to work together [as a plan] for GOOD for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” AMP

For the past year I have been struggling with anxiety, on and off, and the verse mentioned above as been a great reminder and comfort to my soul. The words, ALL and GOOD really stand out to me. All — God works out “ALL things” the good, the bad, the trials, the inconveniences, the troubles, the sorrows, failures, everything. Good— because it’s the assurance and His promise that He is working it all out for my good, for those who love Him. We can trust that it will all be for our good.

So if we know this and understand this, Christians truly should be the most joyful beings on this planet. We should have peace that passes all understanding because we trust and believe Him.

Nancy Wilson, in her podcast, Femina, said, “If someone says something nasty about you and is repeating it to everyone you know, our response should be ‘Thank you Lord for the nasty comments that are being said about me for you are giving me an opportunity to love my enemies.

I am encouraged to count all things as good, this past year I was faced with some trying moments, failures, and lots of disappointments but the Lord has been and always was faithful. My regret is being anxious through it all, my regret was not being joyful in every circumstance and praising Him through it all.

At the same time this year has had so many wonderful moments and blessings. Off-White Palette opened its first ever Gallery here in my hometown of Fort Myers, FL. God is blessing Mike’s real estate business, allowing him to take on great projects and future developments in our city. We completed our first year of homeschooling, Michael and Apollos are the best of friends. The list could go on and on, it is so easy to focus on our problems and place them on a pedestal like an idol. When I do this I remind myself that anxiety and worry are a sin and that I am to quickly repent and shout praises to our Almighty God.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me, please keep me in your prayers! xoxo Nioby
