MY RUGGABLE REVIEW

RUGGABLE - THE WASHABLE RUG

I have had my eye on a Ruggable Rug for months, the concept seemed genius. I love rugs–I feel like they complete rooms and make them feel inviting while adding texture and dimension. But with two dogs rugs just aren’t possible. When I saw an ad for these rugs I got so excited!

So here is my feedback, the concept is genius but not perfect. I expected that because you are able to wash the rugs the material would hold up a little better, but within the first hour Mila (our maltese) dug a hole in it. She also had an accident later that day. (insert eye roll) So after spot cleaning 3 more accidents and Roman’s markings I decided to try washing it…this was honestly a pain. I wish I could say it was easier to wash but it took a beating on my washer. After a full wash and two rinse cycles the Rug was still drenched. I don’t think it was designed for a residential washer, or maybe I just have a crummy washer. After hanging it outside to dry. It looked brand new and was easy to install.

My Takeaway…I do not think I would purchase this again.

1. I wish they offered bigger sizes. The rug we got was an 8x10 and it was too small for our space.

2. If you have dogs that are accident prone like stubborn malteses this may not work for you. Having a rug just encouraged Mila to have more accidents.

3. Depending on the size you may have to wash in a commercial washer.

In conclusion, we did keep the rug, and it is currently in our basement. I have come to the realization that as long as Mila and Roman are around our home will be rug free as rugs just encourage more accidents. I hope this helps, if you have awesome dogs that have zero accidents or children I think this rug is a great option! My sister in law has one and she speaks wonders of it!
